Winning scramble putt in 2018 Mock CC
Winning scramble team celebrates birdie putt on last hole of Mock Chapter Championship. From left are Jodenne Scott, Patti Koffel, Pam Frisby (who made putt) and Leslie Roberts.

No kidding – Mock Chapter Championship ruled!
Whether you were checking out the course, deciding if you like the thrill of competition or just out for a fun game with friends, the Mock Chapter Championship at Stone Creek Golf Club had something for everyone. Jeanne Biggerstaff, who usually doesn't get to play because she's busy officiating, had a chance to do both at the practice event and came away Champion of the Field, with a low-net 65. Jeanne always says the rules are there to help you and she should know! Low-gross honors went to Robin Dea with an 84. The top scramble team, composed of Jodenne Scott, Leslie Roberts, Pam Frisby and Leslie Roberts. was getting back into form after three of the players went to Championship finals last year. The Chapter Championship, set for July 15, has more players signed up than we've had in several years, including four scramble teams and competition in every flight.

The 3rd Annual Mystery Bus Trip ended up at Mallard Creek Golf in Lebanon, where (from left) Pam Frisby, Jean Poling, Ann Chapman and Dori Hamilton relax after their round.

Mystery Trip lives up to name with a sell-out

The 3rd Annual Mystery Bus Trip took 52 LPGA Amateur Golf Association-Portland members and guests to Mallard Creek Golf & RV Resort in Lebanon. We trundled onto the bus at the crack of dawn, abuzz with excitement and guesses about our secret destination. Only four got it right: Nancy DeLand, Scooby Budeau, Jean Poling and Linda Erickson. Once at the course, we grabbed our box lunches and headed out for a shotgun start. Closest to the Pin on the five par-3s were Graciela Teofield, Danielle Tollefson, Judith Sachs, Sue McFadden and Kathleen Wall. Organizer Terrie Marshall kept us entertained on the ride to and from with Golf Trivia. Winners who knew the most answers were Lily Ravencraft and Susan Weiner. It was a great trip and Terrie says she's already planning next year's adventure! Click here for more photos.
