Welcome everyone to the start of golf season. It's time to dust off the golf clubs, get some swing exercises going and think about what part of your game needs the most work!

We are, of course, having golf clinics so check our website and monthly Newsletter for times and locations.

Don't forget the Portland Golf Show is this month. There are always good deals and opportunities to network, as well as to volunteer at a show location (front door, putting contest, short game, etc.) and at our Portland Chapter EWGA Booth.

This brings to mind something that I want you to keep in the forefront of your thoughts – the Annual Kickoff is coming April 22 at Arrowhead Country Club! There will be David Jacobsen as guest speaker, a wonderful brunch and the opportunity to play 9 or 18 holes on a well-kept private course. You can sign up today!

Please keep watching your Newsletters and Portland Chapter website for all the details for not only this event, but other epic events this season: our Chapter Championship and, of course, the regional competitions that we are hosting for stroke and scramble play in the EWGA Championship series and Match Play in the EWGA Cup.

This is going to be a busy season for our Chapter and I hope everyone takes advantage of the chance to compete in some of these outings. See you there!

Remember keep your drives long and straight and your putts short!

Board members are taking turns writing the monthly letter, running the monthly meeting and handling whatever “presidential” responsibilities come up because the Chapter doesn’t have a president this year. If you’d like to volunteer on the Board, especially to be nominated for the president’s position, please contact as at and drop in on any Board meeting, usually the first Tuesday of each month.
